From Representative Hill's Twitter:
__________
You have a self esteem problem, Representative Hill. It's understandable because you were in an abusive relationship for a long time and have also been severely traumatized by the abject failure of the world's governments to confront nonconsensual pornography for the horrible crime that it is. However, your self esteem problem is conflicting with your interest in being a role model for girls.
You are surviving what has happened to you. Unfortunately, you don't have the emotional and other support that victims of these crimes need, because that support isn't there. Victims of these crimes are where victims of rape and molestation were decades ago.
Promoting stripping won't help you blend in or confront the stigma automatically and viciously inflicted on you. Strippers don't confront stereotypes or power dynamics; they profit from them, having most often been denied less degrading opportunities.
