Tara Reade

You can move the conversation.

From Vice President Biden's Twitter:

You're on the map.

You don't have to endorse anyone; I have not endorsed anyone, I have merely withdrawn my support from a candidate.  You don't have to retract your statements and you should feel free to talk about them as much as you want.

You can also start talking about the changes that you think would help the country and the world.  Others may not always agree; I may not always agree.  However, you can and will be influential.

You have one perpetrator; I have hundreds, if not thousands, including yours.  If I have a stress disorder, it's not a Post Traumatic Stress Disorder; it is current.  My assaults by criminal voyeurism will never be over.  Illegal film of me will never stop circulating.  I function around what is happening to me, although I am never happy and I am frequently overwhelmed.

I'm concerned about this:

If they're planning to go after you, they're probably planning to do it after the election, so that it doesn't seem political.

Boo.

From Google:

"Adverse events"

I remember that term from when I was researching my paper about ADHD medication.  In that context, "adverse events" were heart attacks.

"Adverse event" is an industry euphemism for hurting people.

The mental health care system

It is a mistake to assume that abuses perpetrated by the mental health care system can be ameliorated with more funding.  Abuse is built into the system, and needs to be addressed before more funding is given.

Diabetes is a metaphor that has been exploited for years to coerce people into taking psychiatric medication.

A more accurate metaphor for the experience of seeking mental health care is a broken bone.  You can go to any Emergency Room in the United States and receive appropriate medical care for a broken bone that does not make the injury worse.  Your prognosis for a broken bone does not depend on what kind of person the doctor who treats you is.

The subjectivity of psychiatry has always prevented accountability for practitioners, to such an extent that the system itself does more harm than good and always has.  It doesn't have to be that way and it shouldn't be, but it is.

DA Rollins has conflated and misrepresented the Cooper incident.  The only white person whom she named in that Tweet which she has had pinned since May 30th is Amy Cooper, and the only living black person named in the same Tweet is Christian Cooper.

Read it and weep.

Speaking of "Kens"

Although you were calling people "Karens" for a while, you never did call people "Kens," the male equivalent to the disgusting, racist, misogynist term "Karen," did you?

From Google for "Michele Dauber husband":

I don't think that categorizing people, especially negatively, is helpful.

From Michele Dauber's Twitter:

_____________

You can disagree with someone without basing your criticism on categories of age, race or gender.

If you think that age, race or gender are factors in someone's unreasonable behavior, then you should explain why you think that, with such evidence as you can produce, instead of making generalizations.

Tension

Story at Google's newspage:

_____________

A lot of people would feel tense, and not in a good way, if they knew that the M&E industry has been livestreaming illegally filmed video of them from bathrooms, showers and locker rooms since 2011.

This industry seems to have an endless capacity for being psychologically and emotionally comfortable while perpetrating human rights abuses.

I have some questions.

Before I ask those questions, here are some Google results:

Now for the questions.

I don't know anything about this individual race and have nothing to say about the official platforms of the candidates:

___________

I do question why any candidate would be willing to use a song that not only implies but asserts that youth is the most important quality for a person to have.  It's offensive, especially since people who are not young often have more obligations that need their time and energy than young people do, and they are not obligated to take the additional time or spend the additional energy listening to candidates who are telling them that they don't value their votes.

As for Biden/Harris, neither of whom is young, here's the motive:

At 42.1%, the population share of people who are 18 to 49 is bigger than the population share of 35.6% occupied by people who are 50 or older.  Consider also that more of the people in the 50+ bracket than the 18-49 are too sick or infirm to follow the election or deal with voting, and you have your target audience, even though it doesn't include people who were young when both Biden and Harris were young and who may have supported them from the beginnings of their political careers.

The release date for "Only the Young" is given here as January 31, 2020.  I'm trying to remember when it was during this past winter that I listened a lot to the "Run, Lola, Run" soundtrack at my hacked phone.

Without a doubt, my listening to that soundtrack was the "inspiration" for the lyric video for Taylor Swift's much-awarded song "The Man":

For several years, I published copyright notices at every page that I wrote.  Because things change in less than a second online, I also published copyright times, for example:

Copyright L. Kochman, October 31, 2020 @1:19 p.m.

That's what time it is as I write this.

I finally stopped writing copyright notices because every number has code attached to it, and the conglomerate maliciously discredited everything that I wrote and concentrated on interpreting copyright notices as tacit support for crime.

9 and 19 are conglomerate code for the promotion of illegal voyeurism and involuntary pornography.  22 is conglomerate code for the promotion of child molestation.  For years, I would try to time the publishing of pages for the least triggering hour and minute.  Then I gave up on copyright notices.

Anyway, anyone who wants to be called a worthless, arthritic, selfish geezer who has nothing to contribute to society, here are the lyrics for Taylor Swift's song, "Only the Young":

People who feel like reading what I have written about guns can type "gun" into the search box at this blog.

I'll tell you what.

From Aaron Coleman's Twitter:

______________

Judgment is crucial to making good decisions.  Nothing replaces time and experience in the development of judgment.  People can be very smart and still not have good judgment, or have limited good judgment because their life experience is narrow.

The more people who are affected by your decisions, the more lives depend on your judgment.  That's a heavy burden for anyone to take on; if you make a mistake, you have to live with it.

People your age are not ready to take on that burden in public office.  A lot of people who are older than you are can't manage it, either.  It takes a long time and a lot of work to be a good person who can also withstand and confront the world's evil.

For personal and professional advancement, smaller steps are better steps.  Meteoric rises are dangerous.

I think that you will be happier in the long term if you let this race go.  Then you won't feel that you have to prove anything to anyone.  If you live a good life after that, people will respect it and eventually you will have more to offer under much less stressful scrutiny.  You might not even want to return to politics; there are many other professions that are less vicious, more fun, and more consistently helpful to humanity.

Sadly, the media continues to be much more forgiving of men's transgressions in the present than of women's permanently presumed character flaw of being female.  When other people agree with you, it is not always good for you.

And here we are again.

I'm sorry, Ms. Valenti, did you say something?  Either nobody heard you or choking women has now been added to the list of things that men can do and run for office.

I already knew that revenge porn, extreme bullying and harassment, far from being detrimental to running for office, are now requirements for both male and female candidates.

Would you knock it off?

Mayor Morse slept with college students.  That's what he admitted to doing; you don't actually know what else he might have done, especially since you led a totally biased media blitz to get him elected because you like his politics.  You have frightened away anyone who might otherwise have spoken up.

Mayor Morse also implied to Jacobin magazine that a police brutality case in which an altruistic child was beaten was misrepresented by the plaintiff's lawyer.

Define "can't ignore."

The ability of powerful people to ignore what they don't want to know and to prevent other people from knowing about it has been demonstrated for centuries.

He doesn't say the word "masturbation."  He doesn't use a word for it, not even a euphemism.  He skips over where it would be in every sentence that alludes to it.  KANYE WEST feels that the activity should not be mentioned in a polite conversation, particularly a conversation about his own activity.

For years, the conglomerate has accused me of enjoying being illegally filmed during an activity that Mr. West can't say in a discussion about pornography.

I'm not and never have been a porn consumer.  I have never had a pornographic magazine.  I have never watched a pornographic movie; I saw a few snippets of them while spending time with guy friends.  That was way back when I could have friends because nobody was hacking my phone, there were no cameras where I lived, and I wasn't a punching bag for Presidential candidates and other politicians trying to maintain support from celebrities with millions of voting-age fans and the industry that coddles and exploits them from childhood until they are monsters.

The years when it had never occurred to me that I would eventually live like a bug under glass were so long ago that sometimes I was still carded when I went out and my guy friends were at an age that they thought having porn on somewhere in the room might set a conducive mood.  It didn't then, before I had been slut-shamed and criminally victimized almost to death, and REALLY DOESN'T NOW, despite years of effort by the conglomerate to make me think that I live like this because I am loved.
