It's not surprising how many people think that the rampant misogyny taking over the United States is the GOP's fault. The M&E industry, which drove that misogny to unprecedented virulence in concert with the rest of the conglomerate from 2010 to 2017, and which was always looking for a way to reignite it, has encouraged that falsehood. Now that it has destroyed Me Too, it's going to be overtly misogynistic again. It has already taken major steps this year toward criminalizing being a white woman.
The GOP stood by and did nothing while the conglomerate raged from 2010, but it is not the source of these attacks on women.
